DICKSON CITY, LACKAWANNA COUNTY Ð Some empty land in Dickson City may soon become a new movie theater.

Alliance Entertainment has announced plans to put a 14-screen theater next to the Kohl's department store.

If approved, the movie house would have I-Max technology. I-Max theaters have larger screen and enhanced sound.

The Dickson City Planning Commission and borough council must still approve the development plans.
