Milton, Northumberland County-

It’s Harvest Festival time in Milton!

The borough celebrated in part by dedicating the Capital Theatre mural Monday night. The mural features movies and actors from the theatre’s hey day, before it was torn down in 1973.

Main Street Manager Deb Owens explained, “It was unfortunately burned in the ‘70’s and had to be razed. But it holds a lot of memories for a lot of Milton people.”

Ivy Rider, of Milton, said, “I think it’s beautiful. I like the pictures on the wall and everything. It takes me back a long time.”

It’s the second in a series of murals brightening up the borough’s downtown.

Officials also plan to start showing movies on an outdoor screen here sometime in the future.
