New Wilkes-Barre Fire Chief Sworn In - Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 2:45PM EST

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- The City of Wilkes-Barre has a new fire chief. James Delaney, Jr. was sworn in by Mayor Tom Leighton Tuesday afternoon.

Delaney has served with the Wilkes-Barre Fire Department for more than 25 years. He began his career with the city as a paramedic and has held a number of positions within the fire department since that time.

Delaney is replacing former Chief Jacob Lisman who retired.
