Williamsport, Lycoming County-

The finishing touches for big New Year's celebrations are being taken care of in Billtown.

At Williamsport's Bullfrog Brewery, crews set the stage for a funky show, which will be the focal point of the Bullfrog's New Year's bash.

General Manager Steve Koch noted, "Big funk band, Mel Mounds and the Get Down Sounds. It's a new local superstar band with a horn section and all. And it should be a lot of fun."

Besides the funky music, the Bullfrog's famous homemade brews are on tap for all the revelers. And the cooks are in the kitchen to whip up some delicious meals.

Koch continued, "We ice a little more champagne than usual and we have a few dinner specials that we're featuring this evening."

Meanwhile, business is booming for local hotels as well.

All 190 rooms are booked at Williamsport's Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. And that's not all they have going on here.

Wedding bells will also be ringing this New Year's Eve- a full ceremony and reception.

General Manager Jennifer Locey says it’s just another day at the office. "Actually it's our third year of doing it so it's just another day. We have about 35-40 weddings a year so this is just another day for us," she noted.

Employees here say there's plenty of room for all their guests to celebrate the beginning of 2010.

Locey added, "They're looking forward to a great night, coming down to have a very nice dinner in the James Restaurant. We have a fun party going on down the hallway."

While the rooms are all full, we're told tickets are still available for the Holiday Inn's party to kick off the New Year.

Police in central Pennsylvania warn that they will be out conducting checkpoints and roving patrols throughout the night.

Those who plan on drinking alcohol are urged to find a designated driver.
