Mohegan Sun at Pocono downs held it's grand opening for Penny Grove.

It's a new area in the casino including 291 penny slots.

Carmela Partash of Pittston was there for the grand opening and said, "Everybody has a choice now, different things. but I'm a slot person, I take the easy way out. and it's the poorest way out too."

While penny grove's grand opening is a big day at Mohegan Sun a huge day is just on the horizon.

July 11 th is when live testing will take place for table games.

Mohegan Sun built penny grove to make up for lost video slot machines.

Some had to be taken out of the main floor to make way for these table games.

Mohegan Sun president Bob Soper calls this a big day.

Soper said. "It's also an indication and the first big step to rolling out table games. We had to do this in order to make room for some tables. So it was an opportunity to open a new first class gaming space, introduce new slot machines."
