NEWPORT TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY- Fire investigators in Luzerne County still don't know the exact cause of a deadly weekend blaze in Newport Township.

The fire broke out on Laurel Street around 8:00 pm Sunday night, killing 59-year old Joseph Hitzner.

Due to the snow and ice that night, fire crews encountered a number of problems while fighting the blaze, including four broken hose lines.
