PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY-Sunday, June 7th...
A Pittston fire captain saves the life of a woman as fire sweeps through her building.
Captain Michael Cadden's ladder stretched to the apartment window.
The woman got out quickly, with her life.

Pittston City council honored Cadden, Frank Roman and Jenkins Township Chief Dan Pazinski Wednesday night.
Capt. Michael Cadden says
"I speak for myself.
I was just working that night and i just happened to be in the good place at the right time."
And just within the span of a few days, there was the story of the woman who jumped of the bridge.
Fire and police went trudging in after her.
"Yeah, i just went in after her." says Sgt. Robert Semyon
"Watched her and figured, somebody's not going to die while I'm working.
If I could stop it, I was going to do everything I could to do it."

Police sergeant Robert Semyon said he hadn't a second thought Into the river he went Fire fighter Tony Degerolamo was at his side. "As soon as we saw her in the river, we had no choice... Just a reaction."

City council also honored Robert and Joseph Kelly for the river rescue.
They're seven men credited for saving lives under extreme circumstances .
