DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY -- The Dunmore School District is closed Monday following the death of a former superintendent.
70-year-old Joseph Haggerty died Thursday at Mercy Hospital in Scranton. Besides serving as superintendent, Haggerty also taught and coached in the district.
Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 1 to 5 at Vanston and James Funeral Home on Ash Street in Scranton.
The funeral is Monday morning at 11:00 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Chestnut Street in Dunmore, followed by burial at Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
Again the Dunmore School District will not have classes on Monday. | | |
