WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- It took a jury about two hours Thursday to deliver a guilty verdict against a Luzerne County man accused of sexually assaulting a 90-year-old Alzheimer's patient.

The jury convicted 28 year-old David Gula of Exeter on all four counts including raping a mentally disabled person.

It happened when Gula was a nurse's aide at the Kingston Commons nursing home. Gula denies the charges and says he was turning the patient over to prevent bed sores when another nurse walked in.
