SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A Scranton pub had a hometown celebration for Joe Biden. Cosgrove’s Irish Pub had a TV party when Barack Obama introduced his running mate.

Dozens gathered at Cosgrove's Saturday afternoon to watch Senators Obama and Biden's joint announcement from Illinois.

U. S. Senator Bob Casey of Scranton says he feels the pair can tackle major challenges together - including the economy, military and foreign policy. “This is a fantastic choice, it was my preference for a long time. Now we have roots in our state. He's considered our state's third senator from Pennsylvania," he said.

Supporters here at this Scranton pub say they feel Biden shares their catholic and blue collar values.
