LACKAWANNA CO. - One person is dead after a crash in Carbondale Township.

It happened around 4 a. m. Thursday morning on the Robert P. Casey Highway.

It was a two car collision.

One other person was injured.

Police are waiting to notify the family of the deceased before releasing the name.

The highway was closed in that area for about 3 and half hours.
