HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY- One man is dead and two others hurt after a shooting in Hazleton. And Eyewitness News has learned an arrest is coming this evening in connection with this shooting.

It happened just after 2:00 A. M. Saturday. Few details about exactly what happened have been released, but neighbors are still on edge.

Hazleton police spent hours Saturday morning outside Club 570 just off of East Broad Street. Crime tape blocked off the area and evidence markers lined the ground as investigators looked into a deadly shooting.

Neighbors heard the commotion just after 2:00 A. M. Linda Woolf said, ÒI was awoken by a pop, followed by then another pop, very close. Then it was like 30-50 seconds later, I heard two more pops."

One man was killed. Two others were also shot. They were taken to the hospital. Police say the shooting happened outside the club.

Adele Midlick, told Eyewitness News, ÒYou're even afraid to go out at night. When we go grocery shopping, we go during the day because you're not safe to go out at night."

Neighbors like Midlick say the club was never much of a problem, only minor incidents. But now they're concerned for their safety. ÒIt makes you worry and it gets you scared because you don't know what's gonna happen next," she said.

People in this neighbor say police do a good job patrolling the area. They just hope all of the senseless violence stops. ÒI just think there's been a lot of shootings in Hazleton. Not just here, but all over Hazleton," added Woolf.
