WITMOT TOWNSHIP, BRADFORD COUNTY --It's 60 million years old and still providing fun for families today. We're talking about the Susquehanna River. It's the latest stop in our continuing one tank trips series. Jeff Chirico live in Public Square at the Riverfest Kick-off.

This weekend's celebration is to raise awareness of the Susquehanna River. Its something many of us take for granted as we drive over it everyday. So this One Tank Trip gets us off the bridge, and into nature in beautiful Bradford County.

We start at this old barn in sugar run. The folks at Endless Mountain Outfitters load up For an afternoon on the Susquehanna.

John Blasius EMO intern

"It's a lot different on the river. There's a lot of things you take notice to that you don't take notice to from the bridge." Within minutes, we're in the river. After some quick paddling lessons, I'm off. "We'll see you down river" I quickly see what I've been missing from the road Like turtles on a log and the impressive rock wall formed by glaciers.

"The river is just a gorgeous place to be. The river's a lot purer a lot cleaner than people think.

Dave Buck and his wife started the boat rental company after he left the business world. He's never turned back. "We work 7 days a week all summer. It's a lot of hard work but the difference is I love what I do." And what's not to love? Buck says kayaking is a safe, easy sport for old and young.

Kacey Huffman/ 16 years old "We ended up buying our own kayaks. I got mine when I was ten. And ever since we go out and have fun."

Kayaking's a nice break from hectic schedules. There's no traffic. No cell phones just you your kayak and nature. And don't forget the fun! It's a One Tank Trip that'll give you a new perspective on the world around you.

The folks at Endless Mountain Outfitters will be busy this weekend at the Riverfest but they offer trips 7 days a week all summer long.
