Operation PJ Pile-up

Operation PJ Pile-up - Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 5:15PM EST

Muncy Township, Lycoming County-

They're on a mission at the Lycoming Mall to make winter warmer for children in need.

Shoppers can donate new books and pajamas during Operation PJ Pile-up. The supplies go to children ranging from toddlers to teenagers in foster care and orphanages.

Lycoming Mall Interim Marketing Director Courtney Stroup explained, "These children are going to bed every night wearing their street clothes. They don't have pajamas to keep them warm at night. They don't have somebody to read a book to them when they go to bed. And so it's just to give them the comfort of knowing that somebody out there really does care for them."

Operation PJ Pile-up is underway at several area malls through December 31st.
