CARBON COUNTY -- A police incident had the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-476, closed in Carbon County for much of the morning. The highway reopened just after 11:00 A. M.

A detour had been in place since just after 8:30 this morning. All traffic was being forced off at the Mahoning Valley (Exit 74) and Pocono (Exit 95) interchanges.

We're told traffic on the detour routes including Route 209 and Route 115 is very heavy and will take until early afternoon to get back to normal.
