Pennsylvania has launched a new website to help consumers find the cheapest prescription drugs in their area. The website, tracks 300 different prescriptions and lists the prices pharmacies charge. The information is gleaned from invoices the state pays for the state's senior citizen prescription drug program.

Users should know the prices they see are not necessarily that day's rates. Prescription prices may change daily. This information can be used to let consumers know what other pharmacies are charging so that they may ask their pharmacy to match a recent price by another pharmacy.
