SHAMOKIN, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY Ð A Shamokin farmer is the focus of a criminal complaint by the animal rights group PETA.

The group says they took undercover pictures at Lloyd Reitz Dairy Farm. PETA claims the pictures show mistreated and neglected animals.

A private complaint was filed with Shamokin District Justice John Gembic. It alleges cows were shocked with electric cattle prods and other animals were in need of medical care.

The group also says animals were not fed or given water.
