SHICKSHINNY, LUZERNE COUNTY- Lots of passionate pleas tonight to keep a school open.

A large number of people came out to try to convince the Northwest School board to keep Garrison Elementary School open.
The school district is looking at closing the school to cut costs.
The public gave a lot of reasons why they believe the school should remain open and many are worried about class size if the school closes.
Right now Garrison Elementary is still in the budget. A decision will be made later this year.
