PALMYRA TOWNSHIP, PIKE COUNTY -- There's new hope for a prom that came to an abrupt end Saturday Night.
Western Wayne High School was holding their prom at Ehrhardt's Banquet Center in nearby Pike County. State police say someone called the banquet hall around 8:00 P. M. and claimed there was a bomb in the building.
The caller demanded the boys leave and the girls stay or the bomb would be detonated. Police evacuated all the students and searched for explosives but nothing was found.
Parents are now trying to raise money to give the students another prom. | | |
