WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY-Those of the Jewish faith are now observing Passover. On Wednesday evening Eyewitness News stopped by the Jewish Community Center in Wilkes-Barre. Folks there were enjoying a Passover Seder. Seder is a meal filled with prayer, songs, stories and symbolism. Many Jews eat only matzah and other unleavened foods during the week of Passover. They do it to remember how their ancestors rushed to escape from Egypt and did not have time to let the bread rise. The Seder at the JCC was led by Rabbi Larry Kaplan of Temple Israel. Passover will be observed through April 16th.
