SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY - The man who smashed the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees Governor's Cup earlier this year entered a guilty plea Friday morning in Lackawanna County.

Michael Cortezar of Peckville pleaded guilty to one count of criminal mischief.

The Governor's Cup was returned to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees organization in October.

The cost to repair the trophy topped more than $3-thousand dollars.
