EAST BRUNSWICK TOWNSHIP, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY - A pedestrian was hit by a car while trying to help an accident victim early Sunday morning in Schuylkill County.

It happened on Route 895 in East Brunswick Township just before 2:00 AM.

State Police say Mark Brensinger, 23, of New Ringold pulled over after spotting a crash. He was helping the person behind the wheel when an oncoming car slammed into both Brensinger and the vehicle.

Brensinger was flown to a hospital in the Lehigh Valley. There is no word on his condition tonight.
