WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY-A milestone for health care in our area. Wednesday marked the one year anniversary for The Pediatric Urgent Care Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
The facility expected to serve about 5,000 patients, they surpassed that and took care of more than 8700 youngsters.
Those in charge say...It shows the unit is needed. "If a physician can not see their patient that day and they have diagnosis that needs to be be seen , they can be seen here that day, says Janice Divers, the Clinic Coordinator, "And it can be anything from an earache to needing IV Hydration and it just eases the doctor's office and ER Visits, its a shorter wait"
