Williamsport, Lycoming County-

Employees at PennDOT's district office in central Pennsylvania have completed their annual "Food Fight."

The agency's maintenance, design, and construction departments compete to see who can donate the most food and money.

Proceeds benefit the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.

PennDOT employee Inez Johnson explained, "We have this camaraderie that goes on and we fight amongst ourselves and it's all for a good cause. We're so grateful for what we have. We want to share what we have."

This year's winner was the design department.

In all, PennDOT employees at the district office donated the equivalent of 8,400 pounds. That's more than four tons of food.
