LUZERNE COUNTY - People in one Luzerne Co. community are frustrated with their Borough Council.

Luzerne Borough Council wants to start their own Police Dept.

Right now they're covered by Swoyersville Police Department.

Some critics say Council violated the Sunshine Law when they came up with idea behind closed doors.

The move is supposed to save money but start up costs are estimated at more than a $250,000.

It was also revealed last night that the department still hasn't obtained insurance.

That could carry a price tag of about $70,000.
