SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- An unidentified woman was apparently kidnapped in Philadelphia and driven to Scranton early Friday morning. Police sources believe she may have witnessed a serious crime in Philadelphia, prompting the abduction. Investigators would not comment on specifics.
Police say she was first taken to home in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue, where she called 911. Detectives say they were unable to locate the exact address. Police say her abductor then moved her to the Valley View Apartments. At 11 a. m., she again called 911. Police arrived and rescued her from a second-floor window. She had minor injuries to her leg.
Late Friday night, Philadelphia Police homicide detectives arrived to question the unnamed abductor. Charges are pending. | | |
