Here’s a little trivia for you. I bet you didn't know that the practice of trading pins actually dates back to the times of early Olympic athletes.

And one thing is certain; the tradition is still going strong here in South Williamsport.

Stroll down the hill from Lamade Stadium and the white tent almost beckons you to enter. Inside, backroom deals that would make Vegas proud are happening all around.

World Series pin trading is alive and well. We got some tips from the pros.

Anthony Casella, of Nescopeck, advised, "You find pins. And if you don't like it you trade it away. If you do like it you put it in your book, at least that's what I do. And you keep it there unless you find something better."

Some, like Nick Pinkerton, have even taken to making their own pins. And everyone has a favorite.

Pinkerton, of Williamsport, noted, "It's not too bad when you know people. Try to get pins that people want so you can trade them for more. That's how you grow your pin collection."

The pin frenzy is not limited strictly to the tent. We found a line out the door to get the pins at Gustonian Gifts in Williamsport.

The tradition even brings people from different countries together. It has captured the hearts of baseball fans young and old at the Little League World Series.

Steve Quick, of Cleveland, Ohio, said, "We just started coming to the World Series watching the games and got hooked. Now we start making our own sets and we've made our own sets for three years and here we are."

And whether you've got one pin or one thousand, everyone is welcome to join the pin trading fun under the tent.

It certainly looks like a whole lot of fun. And all the pin traders we chatted with all say they'll be back for more next year.
