Pittston, Luzerne County -
The charges stem from the murder of nineteen year old John Johnson. It happened last October at a home on Market Street in Pittston. Police say Ballard, who was in the Luzerne County prison at the time, talked with the suspect Marcellus Thomas on the phone about the crime. Investigators say Thomas broke into the home and shot and killed Johnson and that Thomas was getting revenge for robbing one of Ballard's friends. | | |
