SWOYERSVILLE, LUZERNE COUNTY- A Pittston police officer accused of assaulting and photographing an unconscious woman was formally charged Thursday.

Investigators said Robert Semyon, Wyoming, sexually assaulted an unconscious woman. They said he then took several explicit photos of her. The pictures were discovered on a laptop belonging to the Pittston Police Department.

Semyon was suspended after the pictures were discovered.
