Pittston Township- The I-Team is looking into another embezzlement case in another part of Luzerne County.

Tuesday night we learned that a Pittston Township secretary has signed a written confession supposedly admitting to funneling as much as $25,000 from several township accounts.

At the township meeting, Supervisor Tony Attardo confirms Carolyn Tarone will surrender to police later in the week to be arraigned on theft-related charges.

Township leaders accepted the 9-year employee's resignation Tuesday night.

Supervisor Tony Attardo says in addition to plans by Tarone to repay the money, the township is insured for its monetary losses.
