Four arson's in less than a week.
That's what investigators are up against in Pittston.
They think all four might be connected
Drew Ondish points out where someone set a fire here at his Pittston business last Sunday.
It's one of four intentionally set fires in the city within the last week.
Ondish says, "Angry. You know, it was in the bank, they set it and thank god the Pittston police were going over the bridge and they seen it and they had to get here quick."
Fire fighters stopped flames before it got worse.
It's only a few blocks from another fire set in a Quinn's parking lot dumpster earlier this week.
Two portable toilets were also torched on swallow street.
Fire investigators are checking if they're all connected.
Pittston Fire Chief Jim Rooney says "But this is something new. The last couple of years we haven't had this many arson fires in a short period of time."
A vacant building on Elizabeth Street caught fire Thursday morning.
It's also one of the four suspected arsons.
Investigators are worried about that fire.
Out of the four arsons, it’s the only one where the arsonist set the fire from inside.
Now investigators hope to stop who ever is setting these fires, before they do it again. | |
