PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY- Some residents are close to the verge of homelessness. The owner of Fox Ridge Trailer Park reportedly closed the place down months ago. Some neighbors say they're stuck in a "catch 22."

The park is nestled between Route 315 and Interstate 81. About a dozen people still live there. Most of the trailer homes are abandoned. Some have been torn away from their foundations: those people took off and left. We're told they received eviction notices more than two months ago. But for those who stay here, they claim to have no where else to go.

Empty lots, trash and tires litter Fox Ridge. It looks like a severe storm swept through.

Russ Reggie has lived here for 16 years. In July, he says he received notice the park was closing.

"I said to myself, how can this be. I have winter coming on my shoulders now and it's going to get cold and I had to make my home ready to go someplace, I don't know where I'm going," Reggie said.

Reggie and other neighbors told us they've tried to find other trailer parks and have had no luck.

An attorney is hoping to buy them time. He says the matter is being handled by a local magistrate.

WBRE News contacted Fox Ridge Wednesday night. A manager told us folks like Mr. Reggie shouldn't be living there and that they're pursuing legal action against them.

"This is very seriously bad. I have no place to go, no place as of today," Reggie said.

Most Fox Ridge neighbors planned on staying here for a long time. Now they face even more financial hardship, even homelessness.
