POLK TOWNSHIP - A child may have died and police are investigating the circumstances in the Poconos. Police aren't saying much but they spent most of the day at a house on Hemlock Drive in Kunkletown, Polk Township.

The coroner was at the home at 5205 Hemlock Drive but officials have not yet released any information and that has neighbors nervous.

Police showed up at the house Thursday morning. The home belongs to Shelley Depaul. She takes care of her pre-teen granddaughter.

Some neighbors say they believe police came to the house because the young girl died today. But no one knew exactly what happened here.

Eyewitness News spoke to Pat Candela who stopped by to see what was going on. She said, "It's extremely upsetting because I'd really like to know what happened."
