MOUNTAINHOME, MONROE COUNTY - A landmark in the Poconos burned down early Friday morning.

The Pocono Playhouse caught fire around 1:00 A. M. It took fire crews hours to finally put out the flames.

Famous performers like Van Johnson and Sybil Shepard took the stage there.

The theater was located in Mountainhome and was in its 62nd season.
