SHAWNEE ON DELAWARE, MONROE COUNTY - The recession has forced many people to eat out less so restaurant owners are finding creative ways to bring in business.

More than 40 restaurants are partnering for Restaurant Week in the Poconos. They're hosing special events and offering discounts. In addition to deals, you can also win prizes, like a personal chef for a night. All you have to do is vote on your favorite restaurants at the event website.

Organizers say this should help increase business during a normally slow time of year. Ali Schratt explained, “We thought this April with the economic downturn, with the way things are right now, it would be a great time."
