SWIFTWATER, MONROE COUNTY- Parents and student packed the Pocono Mountain School Board meeting Wednesday night. They were their to voice their concerns over the board's proposal to cut after school activities and athletics.

The board says the cuts are needed to help with the school budget. Many students and parents made impassioned appeals to the board about the importance of these activities.

The board is also looking at other ways to cut costs in the district.
