DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A Wayne County man is facing a half dozen attempted homicide charges for firing an arrow at his girlfriend, then using a gun to shoot at Pennsylvania State Police officers.
45-year old Larry Frick had no comment as he was lead into the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in Dunmore.
Frick faces attempted homicide charges that stem from an incident on New Year's day. More than a dozen State Police officers were called to a home in Dreher Township after receiving a call from a woman who said that her boyfriend fired an arrow from a crossbow at her.
Larry Frick was on the deck when police responded. They say he started shooting at officers. When police finally got into the house, Frick was gone. That ouched off a manhunt throughout the area that ended at an area hospital.
Trooper Bill Satkowski of the Pennsylvania State Police explained how they caught Frick. "We received a tip from the community that he was at Marion Community Hospital in Carbondale. Carbondale Police Department responded promptly, placed him into custody. Then our troopers went up and picked him up."
Troopers did not shoot at Frick. Police are still not sure how he received the injuries that brought him to the hospital. | |
