OLD FORGE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Police say it was a tip that helped them crack an on going investigation into an area burglary ring.

A task force including officers from Taylor, Old Forge, and Moosic announced the results of an investigation they called "Operation Bungled Burglaries." Arrest warrants were issued for Nicholas Anzelmi of Old Forge and William Kilonsky IV, Charles Secor, and Therese Tomkins, all of Taylor Borough.

According to a news release issued by the three departments, the suspects targeted both residential and business places in the area, taking cash, jewelry, guns, and electronic equipment including thousands of dollars worth of Nextel phones.

Officers say their investigation is continuing and includes the possibility that some of those arrested may have been involved in string armed robberies in the area.
