Wyoming Police say they have scuttled what could have been developing into an online theft ring.

Wyoming Police nabbed the Waltman’s, a husband and wife team accused of taking E-Bay customers for a ride. And sources say after several weeks on the run, they were attempting to defraud again, in another part of the state.

Ben Waltman is charged with scamming folks who hired him to sell their treasures on E-Bay. His store wason Wyoming Avenue, right in the center of Wyoming.

Waltman was busted Thursday night in Lancaster County on semi-related charges. Wife Kimberly Waltman was charged Friday afternoon for her role in the business of defrauding people.

Eyewitness News first told you about the internet theft case the weekend of July 4th. Police say the pair has been on the run since. Arrest warrants were issued around that time.

The Waltman’s briefly operated their business out of this tiny storefront. Neighbors previously told us the operation appeared to be unorganized and troubled.

It wasn't until complaints came into Wyoming Police officers that the couple split. Detectives say Ben Waltman was given several opportunities to explain his business and return the cash.

Some $10,000 is unaccounted for. The Waltman’s are behind bars. Kimberly is in the Luzerne County jail on $50,000 cash. Her husband Ben is at the Lancaster County jail.
