Williamsport police are asking for help finding an escaped convict.

Police say 33-year-old Timothy Jacobs escaped from the Lycoming County Pre-Release Center Tuesday morning.

He then led police on a car chase into Loyalsock Township, northwest of the city.

After driving through some corn fields, he crashed the car and ran off into the woods.

Dozens of local officers searched for Jacobs with no success.

Anyone who knows where he is should call Williamsport police.
