WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY - An 86-year-old woman was killed in a 2-car crash in Wilkes-Barre.

Police say 86-year-old Marion Nelson ran a red light Sunday just before 6:00 p. m. on South Franklin Street at West Northampton Street.

Nelson died following the collision with another car at the intersection.

The other driver, 19-year-old Ashley Kane, was taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.
