HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY- Police are looking into two shootings that happened Sunday night in Hazleton.
The first one happened around 11:00 P. M. at Prestigio's Grocery Store on the corner of Green and Wyoming Streets. We're told six men stormed the store and shot a man. The shooting victim was taken to the hospital by friends. There's no word on his condition.
The men responsible for the shooting are believed to be members of a Dominican street gang.
Just about a half-hour later shots were reported at a home in the 300 block of East Green Street in West Hazleton. No one was injured but Jose Vargas is in police custody. Police believe this shooting was a domestic incident.
