AVOCA, LUZERNE COUNTY -- Police and the District Attorney's office are investigating an alleged kidnapping that happened Sunday evening in Luzerne County.
Two teenage girls say they were abducted around 7:00 Sunday evening while walking on Wood Street. They say two men with their faces covered pulled up in a black van and forced the girls inside.
The girls say they were held in the back of the van for about a half hour. When the two men stopped to throw out their cell phones, the girls were able to escape. They knocked on a neighbor's door in Old Forge and called police.
