Authorities believe new evidence will link a Clinton County rape suspect to a series of reported assaults in Philadelphia.

23-year-old Domenique Thomas Wilson is accused of assaulting and robbing three female Lock Haven University students on February 1st.

Now Philadelphia police say DNA evidence and ATM photos link him to three attacks in that city.

Wilson, who is originally from Philadelphia, was arrested on an unrelated charge.

The former Lock Haven student and basketball player is being held at the Clinton County Correctional Facility in McElhattan.

Prison officials confirm Wilson tried to escape late last week, by attempting to bust out a small window in his cell.

While they say he wasn’t even close to getting out, guards are keeping an extra close watch on him.

Deputy Warden David Harkey explained, “He’s on a 15 minute watch, where every 15 minutes they are going to his cell and observing what he’s doing.”

Students on Lock Haven’s campus say things are finally getting back to normal, knowing that Wilson is behind bars.

Lock Haven senior Amber Natale said, “I think that people should still be cautious, but at the same time, you want to live your lives too.”

And people here say if Wilson is found guilty of all these crimes, he deserves everything he gets.

Natale added, “He’s done a lot, so he has a lot of charges against him, and I think that he should be punished according to that.”

Four women and one man were victimized in those assaults in Philadelphia. There is no word yet when any additional charges will be filed against Wilson.
