MONROE COUNTY - Police say a 20-year-old man was shot after an attempted home invasion in Monroe Co. Wednesday night.

Two men tried to break into a home on Ventnor Dr. in Coolbaugh Twp.

Four people were inside the home at the time and managed to keep the armed men from getting into the house.

The would-be intruders fired several shots into the home, hitting a man inside the house in the thigh.

His was taken to the hospital.

The shooters fled in an unknown dark colored vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
