45-year-old Thomas Senavitis from Carbon County was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide while driving under the influence, along with a number of other charges.

Police say Senavitis was behind the wheel of his pickup truck when he crossed the center line and slammed head-on into the car driven by State Senator James Rhoades on October 17. They say Senavitis' blood alcohol level was .355, more than 4 times the legal limit of .08. Senavitis claims he only had one beer that day.

Rhoades died the day after the crash and his wife Mary was seriously hurt.
