SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY

Police in Scranton are looking for two black males they say were involved in a shooting incident in the city Friday afternoon.

A spokesman for the police department said that David Knott, age unknown, was walking along railroad tracks near Jackson Street when he came across the two men and asked them for the time. Police say a verbal altercation began during which Knoff was punched by one of the men then shot in the arm by the other.

Knoff was taken to Scranton's Communiuty Medical Center for emergency treatment. Police say the wound was not life threatening. Anyone with information about the assailamnts is asked to contact the Scranton Police Department.
