SCOTT TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY

Scott Township Police want to know if a man arrested for burglary in Scranton could be involved in similar crimes throughout the area.

Chief James Romano of Scott Township says that 38-year-old Saul Langan of Scranton has admitted being involved in a break in along Quinton Road in the township and another in the city of Scranton. Langan was arrested in Scranton on Tuesday.

According to the police Langan would knock on the door of homes to see if anyone was inside. According to Chief Romano if someone answered Langan would expalin that he was a hunter in search of his lost dog.

Chief Romano is asking county residents to call their local police departments if they think they've seen Langan knocking on doors in their neighborhood or if they've seen his red car cruising though their neighborhoods. He believes Langan may have been involved with other burglaries or attempted burglaries in the area. WYOU TV received a call from one unnamed resident who believed she recognized Langan's photo after it was broadcast on the Noon Newscast.

Langan is being held at the Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
