Power Restored to South Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- A blown transformer caused a brief power outage in parts of South Wilkes-Barre.
Traffic lights on South Main Street and Academy Street were affected. Police were there to help with traffic control.
Meyers High School and Geisinger South also were without power. The hospital has back-up generators.
PPL corrected the problem after about a half-hour. | | |
