Catawissa, Columbia County-

A popular summer past time is in full swing in central Pennsylvania.

It’s prime strawberry-picking weather at Rohrbach’s Farm Market near Catawissa.

The farm has a large patch of strawberries that you can come in and choose from.

And it’s much cheaper than buying the sweet treats at a grocery store.

Store manager Chad Romig noted, “So far it’s been a really good year. You know we had a really good crop. We were kind of worried about the cold at the beginning of the season, and now of course the rain, but it’s actually coming on good. We have a lot of strawberries, very plentiful.”

Rohrbach’s planted about five acres of strawberries this year. They plan to have about seven acres next year.
